Interesting tidbits: Patches acquired his first mare without a fight when he arrived on the North End just after her harem stallion had died. Patches and Larry regularly stole each other’s mares. During Hurricane Sandy in November of 2012, Patches lost his mares to another stallion, Bodacious Bob.
