Everyone Needs a Friend! Become a Friend of Assateague Island National Seashore and help us directly support the education, interpretation, scientific and recreational programs of the National Seashore.

In addition to the satisfaction of supporting Assateague Island National Seashore, our members will also receive a gift and a membership card that entitles you to a 15% discount at the Assateague Island Visitor Center Gift Shop, 10% off online purchases on the AIA website and AIA program fees, and 10% off select purchases at the Beach Hut.

Foster a Horse
Your symbolic foster is an ideal way to support the horses living wild and free among the Maryland herd on Assateague Island National Seashore. By fostering a horse, you are directly involved in preserving one of America’s most loved wildlife treasures and their survival in one of our most fragile natural resources.

Volunteer
Are you looking for a way to make friends, enjoy the outdoors or provide a one-of-a-kind experience at Assateague Island National Seashore? Whether you can spare an hour or an hour a day, AIA can accomplish so much more with your help. We have something for everyone, remote volunteer duties too, and together we’ll find an arrangement that is mutually beneficial. If you would like to offer your gift of time to increase AIA’s growth, please fill out the checklist and we will reach out to find a perfect fit for you. As a non-profit organization, our valued volunteers are an integral part of our program in helping to promote what we do as well as support our events.
