Interesting Tidbits: Fabio was transferred to Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch, a 501(c)3 nonprofit and world-renowned animal sanctuary in Murchison, TX in 2011 due to irreversible behaviors caused by human habituation. Fabio's food-aggressions were a hazard to the safety and well-being of him, his band, and island visitors. He was able to live out his remaining years at the ranch. He passed away in November of 2023 at the age of 30.
