"Dune Dancer Jolt" Anne and Joy Strieby of Lewes, DE who held the winning ticket in the Name That Foal fundraising raffle. The mother and daughter team chose the name Dune to give him a strong name and as he tends to frequent the dunes he will be the protector of them as he becomes a stunning stallion; Dancer reminds them of their family, including Joy’s two older brothers, who all loved Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer; and Jolt to tie in the colts lineage and honor the importance of family. Jo is a piece of his dam N6BMT-F “Jojo” and “LT” a piece of his sire N6BMT-I, “Assateague Lightning”, plus jolt also relates to feeling a shock from electricity.
Dune Dancer Jolt was killed on August 1, 2026 by a truck near Bayberry Drive and Oceanside Drive and had been hanging with a bachelor band. He was easily identified by his sway back. As a young foal, he had been nicknamed “Baby Bison” by a group of local photographers.
