Usual range: Pope Island and vicinity, and was occasionally seen in the campgrounds during the summer.

Interesting tidbits: Bessy Twister was named for her tornado-shaped blaze, which she passed on to her daughter Samantha. She lived near the state line and Pope Island all her life, and spent the rest of her life with Samantha.
