N10T-J “Charmed”

Born: June of 2011

Died: October 20, 2017

Sire: T3DMT "Pepe"

Dam: N10T "Ninka"

Sex: Mare

Color: Bay pinto with cat tracks, a snip and four stockings

Descendants: N10T-JO "Assateague Phoenix"

Usual Range: Tingles Island to the Developed Area

Interesting Tidbits: On Friday, October 20, 2017, a visitor reported a horse down in the salt marsh area of the back country. Wildlife staff responded immediately and identified the horse as N10T-J "Charmed". Given her poor body condition and limited mobility, park staff decided euthanasia would be the most humane course of action. There was no indication that N10T-J's declining health was anything other than a natural occurrence. She left behind her young colt, N10T-JO Assateague's Phoenix who was taken under the wing of his granddam, N10T "Ninka"
