Collection: Legacy Horses

THIS PAGE IS A WORK IN PROCESS.  WE ARE WORKING HARD TO GET INFORMATION ON AS MANY LEGACY HORSES AS WE CAN.  IF YOU SEE A HORSE WITH JUST ONE PICTURE, AND IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER PICTURE OF THE HORSE, PLEASE SEND IT TO US IF YOU ARE WILLING TO SHARE.  YOU CANNOT PUT YOUR LOGO ON THE PICTURES, AND WE ARE UNABLE TO CREDIT ALL OF THE PHOTOGRAPHERS.  THANKS!

We love all the horses at Assateague and hold a special place for those we have lost.  Here are some of the horses that have helped to create Assateague memories.  We are not selling portfolios of these horses, but you can make a donation in their memory if you want to.

Donate to Legacy Horses

After clicking on the above link, chose the dollar amount by clicking on the down arrow. When you view your cart, you can indicate a particular legacy horse's  name in the Notes section, or put no name and leave a general donation.

All donations support the wild horse management program which includes funding for Horse Management interns, food storage solutions for visitors, and educational supplies and materials to help people understand the negative long term impacts caused by interfering with the natural diet and behavior of the wild Assateague horses.
